With faith in the spiritual revival of Russia!

The Charter of the Mining Cadet Corps, approved by Emperor Alexander I, says: “For the greater strengthening of students in the law of faith, this matter so sacred and necessary, to establish and henceforth maintain the Church of our religion in the Mining Cadet Corps.”

St. Macarius the Egypt House Church Church was opened and consecrated by Metropolitan Ambrose of St. Petersburg on February 1, 1805 during the principalship of A.I. Korsakov, a General of the Corps of Artillery.

The Church of the Mining University, created by the outstanding Russian architect A.N. Voronikhin, is a remarkable monument of Russian ecclesiastical architecture. For over 200 years, University students have worshipped here, and by working in all corners of our vast country they have been multiplying the greatness, glory and wealth of Russia.

The day of the Church’s consecration, February, 1, has long been a memorable day, a day of meeting, and a holiday day for mining engineers (students of the Mining University).

The spiritual life of the St. Macarius of Egypt House Church also depends on your personal contribution! The revival of Russia through the revival of spirituality!
