At the night from 31st of December 2012 to the 1st of January 2013 in the International Friendship Club (St. Nalichnaja, 46, dorm. № 3) was a festive New Year party of students! There was an atmosphere of joy, fun and friendship, accompanied by dances with the sounds of New Year melodies.


On the 2d of January 2013 in the International Friendship Club of the Mining University the Congolese community celebrated the New Year. The festive evening organized by students from the Democratic Republic of the Congo near the New Year tree, let the students join the Russian national New Year traditions, get a lot of impressions and positive emotions, energy to new successes and achievements.

On the 4th of January in the International Friendship Club of the Mining University, widely known and popular among foreign students of St. Petersburg, was a New Year event organized by the Republic of Ghana community. The festive event was attended by students from the Republic of Ghana, who were trained in the different universities of St. Petersburg and also the students from Russia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Germany.

The festive program was started with the greeting words of the president of the Union of Ghana Students. After that there was the performance of students with Christmas greetings and best wishes and popular foreign music sounded. Specially prepared dancing shows with the national rhythms charmed all the guests. Such national dishes like "Uaache", " bank", " Manka " were in the festive menus. Foreign students sincerely expressed their gratitude to the Mining University for the opportunity to come together.


January 25, 2013 The Russian language Festival organized for the students of the preparatory department for foreign students of the Mining University was held in The International Friendship Club. The feast was prepared and carried out by teachers of the Russian language and literature. It was attended by 40 students from different countries, Mongolia, Romania, Egypt, Sudan, China, Vietnam, Namibia.

Students showed stagings of Russian folk tales, participated in competitions for the best knowledge of the Russian language. When the program was over they had a tea party, where the students were able in a relaxed atmosphere to talk with each other and with the teachers. At the tea party students read poetry in Russian and national languages​, sang songs and national anthems. Each participant received a gift - the book "Conversations about St. Petersburg " which was published by the Department of Russian Language and Literature and chocolate "Views of St. Petersburg" with good wishes.


February 24, 2013 The meeting of Guinean fraternities who studied in different universities of St. Petersburg was at the International Friendship Club (Nalichnaja street, 46, dorm. № 3). The midyears was summed up in the meeting.

 

 


March 31, 2013 the meeting of students from Mali was held in the International Friendship Club, where they were discussing the difficult political situation in the country, military operations, the reasons of the conflict, the probable course of events, possible way out of the crisis and its consequences.


March 31, 2013 The meeting of Guinean fraternities who studied in different universities of St. Petersburg was at the International Friendship Club (Nalichnaja street, 46, dorm. № 3). The students discussed the issues of the upcoming summer practical trainings.
