Assistance in finding employment for graduates

For employment of young specialists:

  • an information database of students and graduates has been set up, including information on their qualification levels, abilities and personal qualities based on registration cards, through which information on jobseekers is available to employers;
  • constant connection with relevant firms is maintained, as well as a database of company job vacancies;
  • links with the city’s student labor exchanges have been made;
  • announcements for students have been organized on the website and information stands.

The organization of practical and information training

Practical and information training sessions are organized as a rule for students of the first and the second years, in accordance with the training schedule and carried out in groups under teachers’ supervision of specialized departments on the basis of contracts with basic enterprises.

Student traineeships on an individual basis are not permitted

Practical and information training placements are organized on the basis of orders for the student staff signed by the Rector.

Students who have passed a medical checkup are admitted to practical training placements in accordance with the professional requirements.

Responsible for safety arrangements and financial statements from the head teachers of the groups are appointed by the Rector’s order for the practical training period. Financing of practical training is based on budgets approved by the Rector.

Goals and objectives of practical training are defined by the practical training programs. Programs of practical training may include an exam to qualify in skilled categories for blue-collar jobs.

Practical training can be credited for students with practical work experience according to their specialization by specialized departments on the basis of assessment.

At the end of practical training the students complete and defend a practical training report in the department (structure and type of report are determined according to the practical training program).

The grade in the practical training is equated with a grade in theoretical training and is taken into account in summing up the general progress of students.

Students who do not comply with the practical training program due to a reasonable excuse are sent on the program a second time, in their free time.

Students who do not comply with the practical training program due to unreasonable excuses are expelled from the University with an academic debt.

 

The organization of manufacturing and pre-degree training

Manufacturing and pre-degree trainings are organized for students of the III and IV years in accordance with the applications submitted by the heads of practical training from specialized departments based on the number of students on the courses,.

The Department concludes a typical contract for the manufacturing and pre-degree training with each of the companies listed in the application.

The practical training schedule is attached to a standard contract.

Students are able to have the manufacturing and pre-degree training based on the company’s individual applications (personal calling).

Manufacturing and pre-degree trainings are held on terms established by the academic curriculum.

Students who have passed a medical checkup are admitted to practical trainings in accordance with the professional requirements.

The order for the student staff created in the deanery of the department and signed by the Rector is the basis for being sent to the training course.

Students’ surnames with the practical training places, name of the company or organization, and the issue of fare are specified in the order.

On arrival to the practical training in accordance with the requirements of companies the students must have:

  1. next generation passport;
  2. military ID or military service registration certificate (liable for military service in the Russian Federation)
  3. labor book (if available)
  4. certificate or professional certification (if available);
  5. taxpayer Identification Number (TIN);
  6. state pension insurance certificate;
  7. health certificate for the right to work in these conditions;
  8. pass – certificate indicating specialty, course and the head’s name who is responsible for the manufacturing training from the University with his/her telephone numbers.

In accordance with the signed agreements the organizations provide places for traineeships and appoint a head of practical training in a company.

If there are vacancies, students are enlisted in a company. From the moment when trainees are assigned to their work positions, the trainees follow the company’s rules on safety at work and internal regulations.

Preparation of documents for studying with full indemnity (paid study)

Studying with full indemnity (paid studying) is realized for full-time and part-time students.

Training on a contract basis for full-time students is realized on all professions showed in the list of professions of faculties.

Training on a contract basis for part-time students is realized on the following professions:

  • 080109 Accounting, analysis and audit
  • 080502 Company management and economics (in mining engineering and geologic exploration)
  • 120101 Applied geodesy
  • 120303 Urban cadastre
  • 130302 Exploration of subterranean water and geological engineering survey
  • 130403 Open pit mining
  • 130603 Equipment of oil and gas processing
  • 150402 Mining machinery and equipment
  • 280202 Environmental protection engineering

The following professions are added to those listed above for the second higher education:

  • 130301 Geologic survey, exploration of mineral deposits
  • 130404 Underground mining of mineral deposits
  • 130406 Mine and underground construction
  • 140604 Electric Drive and Automation of Industrial Plants and technological complexes
  • 240403 Chemical engineering of natural energy sources and hydrocarbon materials

Enrolment on a contract basis

  • in the 1st year is based on the results of entrance examinations,
  • in the 2nd and following years (for a second higher education), including the order of transfer, is carried out on the basis of qualification tests.

Restoration of status as a student in the senior years is based on personal application to the Rector of the University (with the dean’s resolution).

The department draws up a contract (Annex 2 to the General Agreement) with a protocol of financial terms based on the order of enrollment.

Form of contract for studying with full indemnity.

Tuition fees on the contract basis are annually approved by the Board of the University and unchanged during the entire period of study.

Tuition fees for full-time students are paid per semester (till September 1, till February 1)

Tuition for part-time students is paid for the academic year till September 1.

Forms of tuition fees:

  • For cash in the paying office of the University (application form for tuition fees)
  • By bank transfer to the account of the University, as stated in the protocol of financial terms.

 

Drawing up contracts with companies to train students under the target contract training program

In order to meet the needs of companies, organizations and offices to have highly qualified specialists the University works on staff training in accordance with the Government regulation of the Russian Federation from September 19 1995 № 942, ‘On the target contract training of specialists with University and college education.’
Target training is done on the basis of conclusion of a contract between the student, university and company from the third year of training.

Preparation and issuing of degree certificates

Preparation and issuing of degree certificates and duplicates of documents (undergraduate certificate, diploma in engineering, senior engineering, bachelor's diploma, specialist’s diploma, master’s diploma)

State documents of the University and college education and duplicate copies of these documents (undergraduate certificate, the diploma in engineering, senior engineering, bachelor's diploma, specialist’s diploma, master’s diploma) are executed in the department for full-time and part-time students.

Diploma production term is 7 days from the moment when the degree project is defended or the state exam is passed.

You must submit the following documents to obtain a diploma:

  1. Your passport
  2. Your certificate or diploma concerning your previous education (issued in the student personnel department after registration of the graduation clearance list).

Graduates can if they wish receive a graduate badge.

Issuing a second diploma

Duplicates of state diplomas are issued in case of the return of lost certificates (in case of loss, damage, etc.).

Making duplicates of lost documents is a paid service and the cost of this is approved by the Council of the University.

Duplicate diplomas are issued to the holder on presentation of a passport or another person under a  power of attorney, executed by a notarius.

For execution of the duplicate diploma in accordance with the instruction ‘On the procedure of issuing duplicate documents of University and college education’ you must submit:

  1. An application to the Rector of the University for a duplicate diploma (in the application you must specify in detail the cause of the loss);
  2. An announcement published in a national newspaper about the loss (with the series and number of the lost diploma); attach this to the application (number and series of the diploma can be found in the archives of the University, telephone 328 8679);
  3. Document from the internal affairs bodies that a criminal case regarding the lost diploma has been opened.
